Armenia Economy Minister: Armenia can attract investments from EU and not only

Armenia can attract investments from Europe and not only, Armenia’s Economy Minister Karen Chshmaritian said at an economic forum held in Yerevan on Tuesday.

Accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) opens up new opportunities. The further depends on the reasonable business strategies, he said.

“Armenia’s integration also opens up new opportunities for European entrepreneurs and not only, who by establishing businesses in Armenia will get access to the EEU market. Conversely, the EEU companies will be able to get access to the EU market through Armenia, since the EU has applied the preferential regime GSP+ to Armenia. Armenia’s preferential regimes are also applicable in the United States, Canada, Norway, Switzerland and Japan,” Chshmaritian said.

During the visit of Armenia’s President to the United States, Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) was signed.
