Armenia-Iran economic cooperation discussed in Tehran

The Iran Chamber of Trade, Industry, Mines and Agriculture on Monday hosted a discussion event dedicated to the developing economic relations between Armenia and the Islamic Republic.

The meeting, organized jointly by the Iran-Armenia Chamber of Commerce and the Armenian Embassy to Iran was attended by numerous representatives of the Chamber, and Iranian businessmen.

Armenia’s ambassador to Iran, Artashes Tumanyan, briefed the participants on the investment opportunities in the country after the recent government change, and the basic trends of economic development, including the business atmosphere and potentials of developing bilateral economic ties.     

He also elaborated on the new government anti-corruption program, highlighting its potential immediate impact on the general investment climate.

At the end, Tumanyan responded to the participants.
