Armenia’s consumer market sees 2.5% inflation in 12 months

In June 2019, 2.5% inflation was registered in Armenia’s consumer market to compare with June of the past year, while 1.9% deflation is recorded to compare with May of the ongoing year.

According to the figures released by the country’s statistical service, in January – June 2019
the average monthly growth of consumer prices stood at 0.2% which is down by 0.1% the number recorded in the previous year.

The all Armenian cities under study saw a 2.7-1.2% price cut in consumer prices last month from the previous month with highest drop in price observed in Yeghegnadzor. Consumer prices dropped by 1.8% in capital Yerevan May.
