Azerbaijan MFA threatens Poland with aggravation of relations after President Duda’s visit to Armenia border

The visit by President of Poland Andrzej Duda to Armenia-Azerbaijan border area in the company of members of the EU Mission in Armenia (EUMA), unfortunately, is another demonstration of anti-Azerbaijani policy of different EU member countries and European institutions. This is noted in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan on X.

“We deeply regret that President of the country which is officially a ‘strategic partner’ of Azerbaijan has participated in the unacceptable diplomatic ‘binocular show’ leading to the aggravation of relations between Azerbaijan and Poland,” added the MFA of Azerbaijan.

At the same time, however, the MFA of Azerbaijan admitted that its officials sent numerous messages to the Polish president’s office and the MFA, but “the Polish side did not refrain from this provocative step.”

“Azerbaijan retains its rights to take due diplomatic measures against this unfriendly action,” concluded the Azerbaijan MFA.

Polish President Andrzej Duda, who is on a visit to Armenia, visited Yeraskh village and conducted a patrol with the EU monitors stationed in Armenia.

Also, he met with the Poles included in this EU mission, the Office of the President of Poland reported on X.
