The defensibility of Armenia will be maintained also with the new Constitution.
The Minister of Defense, Seyran Ohanyan, on Monday told the above-said to reporters in parliament.
“The constitutional processes lead [to the fact] that Armenia’s defensibility will be ensured at the previous level, irrespective of the personal accountability of making a defense decision by a person in charge,” Ohanyan stated. “In any case, the leadership of the [Armenian] Armed Forces will ensure the level of defensibility needed. For that reason, we are working to form a constitutionally-guaranteed system.”
The referendum on Armenia’s draft constitutional amendments is slated for December 6.
