Education minister and Germany MPs discuss Armenian Genocide resolution

The Minister of Education and Science, Armen Ashotyan, who is also Deputy Chairman of the ruling Republican Party of (RPA) Armenia, is in Germany, where he attended the annual congress of the ruling Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU) party.

In addition, Ashotyan met separately with deputy chairperson Franz Josef Jung of the German Bundestag’s (Parliament) CDU/CSU parliamentary group, and MP Christoph Bergner.

The interlocutors discussed the prospects for CDU-RPA cooperation, and the avenues for increasing contacts between parliamentarians of the two countries.

They also reflected on the process of adopting, at the Bundestag, the resolution on Armenian Genocide recognition.
