EU and Armenia agreed to work on human rights

The European Union and Armenia have agreed to work in the field of human rights, and this provision will be included in a new bilateral agreement between EU and Armenia, said action head of EU delegation in Armenia Dirk Lorenz.

“EU is based on human rights, it is our identity and important part of it is fight against discrimination. It is consistent fight that is also going on in EU member states, but we are tolerant towards each other,” Lorenz said during a discussion in Yerevan.

Eurasia Partnership Foundation presented two policy papers on the prospects of adoption of anti-discrimination legislation in Armenia – the project supported by the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
