Armenia’s Education Minister Armen Ashotyan received a letter on Monday from Silvia Costa, President of the Committee on Culture and Education of the European Parliament, Krystyna Łybacka, member of the same committee, as well as Ernest Maragall, member of the European Parliament’s Budgets Committee. In the letter they expressed gratitude to Armenia’s Ministry of Education and Science and Bolognia Secretariat for the excellent organization and carrying out of the Ministerial Conference of European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and the 4th Bolgnia Policy Forum held in Yerevan on May 14-15.
As reported by Armenia’s Education Ministry, the letter reads, in part: “The conference held in Yerevan was not only important and decisive in terms of the discussion of progress, registered after Bucharest Conference, but also from the point of view of the role of higher education and its further development and coordination in the context of EHEA’s new challenges. We are also grateful for the opportunity to present the European Parliament’s stance at the ministerial conference.”
The letter also notes that the resolution of the European Parliament, adopted at the plenary session on April 28, 2015, along with the discussions held in Yerevan have identified common approaches.
