The bank deposits of residents in Armenia have increased by 21.3 percent. Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), Martin Galstyan, announced this to a press conference Tuesday.
He explained that the growth of term deposits in Armenian drams was 25.2 percent, and in foreign currency—4.8 percent.
“Demand deposits also have increased—by 35 percent in drams, 32 percent in foreign currency,” added Galstyan.
The CBA chief noted that consumer loans increased by 24.1 percent last year in Armenia.
In his opinion, this growth will continue, but this trend does not pose any risks.
