Idea to build effectively developing modern state inspiring for all Armenians – Karen Karapetyan

Armenia has a serious potential to promote effective reforms in almost every sphere to make the country competitive and attractive on the international arena, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan said today.
In his welcoming address to the participants of the Sixth Armenia-Diaspora Conference, the premier also highlighted the urgent need to unite around the idea of creating “an effectively developing modern state”.
“I am confident that the idea to build a modern and effective state, relying on logical and developing history traditions, is an inspiring goal to unite around,” he said.

“Today, we all are heading towards building a free and smart country, and we always had the necessary preconditions for that, including self-respect and dignity”.

The premier also introduced the Government’s program, where he said their governing approach is intolerance of corruption.

This year’s conference, held under the slogan “Mutual Trust, Unity and Responsibility”, has brought together over 1,500 participants from 70 countries. Top-ranking officials from Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) and religious leaders are also expected to join the event.

The organizers are planning three plenary sessions and 16 thematic discussions focusing on four major areas (economic development, regional challenges and national security agenda, foreign policy agenda and Genocide-related and identity preservation issues).
