Iran opposes border changes in South Caucasus, acting FM says

Iran’s acting foreign minister has reiterated Tehran’s opposition to border changes in the South Caucasus.

“We support any initiative promoting the development of the region, but we oppose any initiative that will change the demography and borders of the region,” Ali Bagheri told CNN Türk in an interview on June 8, responding to a question about the so-called “Zangezur corridor”.
