On Wednesday 6 April 2016, the Azerbaijani side continued to fire from rifle weaponry all along the Nagorno-Karabakh Line of Contact.
Head of Operative Information Center of Karabakh Defense Ministry, Col. Victor Arustamyan, told journalists today.
In his words, the adversary used 82 mm mortars and large-scale rifle weaponry in the northern direction, 60 mm mortars in the eastern direction, and again 60 mm mortars in the southern direction.
“On Wednesday morning separate groups of about 15 tried to cross the border and occupy the position several times,” Arustamyan said, adding that there was no staff in the field ambulance and nobody got injured.
He also noted that the Karabakh armed forces have suffered the following losses in the period from April 1 to 6:
32 casualties, 8 of which were officers, 24 being contract soldiers, 121 wounded, 24 of which were officers, 97 being privates and contract soldiers. 25 persons have gone missing.
