New Armenian Consulate opens in Bari, Italy

A new Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Armenia opened in the city of Bari in the Puglia region, Italy, according to the statement from Embassy of Armenia to Italy.

The message reads as follows:

“The Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Italy is pleased to announce the opening of its new Honorary Consulate in the splendid region of Puglia. This new consular office represents an important step aimed at strengthening the historic friendly relations and the centuries-old cultural, economic and diplomatic ties between Armenia and the Puglia region.

The Consular Office which will be located in Corso Vittorio Emanuele 30 in Bari, will constitute a point of reference for Armenian citizens and for those who wish to deepen collaboration between Puglia and Armenia.

The Honorary Consul Dario Rupen Timurian will be the contact person for the protection of the citizens of the Republic of Armenia in Puglia and for initiatives aimed at promoting and strengthening scientific, cultural, educational, economic and commercial cooperation.

Honorary Consul Dario Rupen Timurian, born in 1974, graduated in Law from the University of Bari, is an entrepreneur in the construction and furniture sector. His family arrived in Bari after the Armenian Genocide of 1915 and immediately entered the social and entrepreneurial fabric of the city and the region.

The Embassy of the Republic of Amena in Italy wishes the Honorary Consul Dario Rupen Timurian great success in achievement of the objectives of his office.”
