Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan on Tuesday received Japan’s first resident Ambassador to Armenia, Eiji Taguchi.
Ohanyan congratulated Ambassador Taguchi on his appointment and wished him productive activities. He expressed the hope that, after the founding of Japan’s embassy in and the new Japanese ambassador’s appointment to Yerevan, new prospects will open before the development of Armenian-Japanese cooperation in the defense sector.
Taguchi, for his part, noted that Japan stands ready for collaboration with Armenia, and he expressed the hope that a respective progress will be achieved in the near future.
The interlocutors also discussed regional security issues.
