Russia, Iran FMs interested in consultations with participation of Armenia, Azerbaijan

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Tuesday had a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

Lavrov stressed that Russia has no doubts about Iran’s territorial integrity and independence and fully respects it.

According to the IRNA, the foreign ministers of Iran and Russia discussed bilateral and regional issues, as well as the need to respect the territorial integrity of the countries.

Also, they discussed the latest developments in the Caucasus and expressed their interest in the further development of regional consultations, such as the 3+3 format which includes Iran, Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia.
