Worrying report of shootings and death on Armenia-Azerbaijan border. EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar wrote on his microblog on X, commenting on the death of an Armenian military officer on the border with Azerbaijan.
“EU is constantly engaged with Baku and Yerevan. It is essential that calm prevails on the ground and decisive progress is achieved at the negotiating table,” he wrote.
On December 4, Armenian serviceman Gerasim Arakelyan was killed in Vayots Dzor as a result of a shot from Azerbaijani positions.
