The government’s goal is to develop progressive taxation mechanisms for real estate. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this today during a consultation on the property tax system reforms in Armenia.
During the consultation, the respective work done to date was discussed, and an exchange of views was made on the future courses of actions and steps in this regard.
The Prime Minister noted that the government’s goal is to develop progressive taxation mechanisms for real estate and to ensure a fair and equitable distribution of tax burden, and noted that reforms should be implemented in line with this logic.
The head of government also instructed those in charge of this domain to continue their work, and to submit recommendations within a month on the planned changes to the modeled version and the timetable for implementation.
