Armenia is ranked 81st on Forbes’ annual list of Best Countries for Business 2019, with 7.5% GDP growth and $3,900 GDP per capita.
Georgia is in the 44th place. Russia comes in 55th, leaving behind Turkey, which is placed 57th this year. Azerbaijan ranks 70th.
The United Kingdom has been crowned the best country in the world for business in 2019. “Despite the uncertainty surrounding Brexit, the UK ranked first for the second straight year,” Forbes said.
Sweden ranks second, followed by Hong Kong. New Zealand, the Netherlands, Canada, Denmark, Singapore, Australia and Switzerland are among the leading countries on the list of 161 countries.
Forbes’ list is compiled relying on 15 different factors: property rights, innovation, taxes, technology, corruption, infrastructure, market size, political risk, quality of life, workforce, freedom (personal, trade and monetary), red tape and investor protection.
