Cheese and yogurt production volumes increase in Armenia

According to data provided by the National Statistics Service (NSS), 1 012.5 tons of cheese was produced in Armenia in January 2018, which is 4.7% increase to compare to the previous year.

NSS data also indicate about the 28.3% increase of yogurt production in Armenia for the mentioned period, amounting to 495.8 tones against 386.4 tones produced in January 2017.

NSS further reports that curd cheese production levels rose in January 2018 by 79%, amounting to 92.7 tones.

Meanwhile, production levels of milk decreased by 8.1% with total volume of 17 034.6 thousand liters produced in 2017.
