Armenian authorities plan to introduce the comprehensive healthcare insurance system in the country under a phased procedure within three years, healthcare minister Anahit Avanesyan has said.
“We believe that the option of phased introduction will contribute to the system becoming gradually prepared and capable in terms of increasing admissions,” Avanesyan told reporters.
“The ongoing large-scale investments, capital constructions, systemic changes and steps for quality control will have their results in the insurance system as well. I believe that the system will be ready parallel to the phases of introducing the insurance system,” Avanesyan said.
The comprehensive healthcare insurance system will be fully introduced in 2027.
