Ararat Mirzoyan, Peter Szijarto discuss process aimed at deepening Armenia-EU partnership

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Peter Szijarto, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations of Hungary, on the margins of the Yerevan Dialogue 2024 international forum, the foreign ministry of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The interlocutors discussed bilateral agenda matters, and expressed readiness to continue developing cooperation in sectoral domains along with active political dialogue. Both sides emphasized the importance of additional joint efforts in order to expand the scope of their cooperation, especially in economy and trade.

Also, the two FMs reflected on the steps being taken to implement the agreement on the opening of resident diplomatic missions in the capitals of Armenia and Hungary.

In addition, Mirzoyan and Szijarto conferred about the process aimed at deepening Armenia-EU partnership. In this connection, the Armenian FM emphasized that the decision on Visa Liberalization Dialogue with Armenia was actually made in the EU Council during the current Hungarian chairmanship, and expressed hope that during the following months of this chairmanship, the talks on expanding the new agenda of Armenia-EU partnership and approving the respective document will be successful as well.
