Jeff Bezos, founder of the Amazon Company, has traveled to space on a spacecraft built by his own company.
According to Armenia,the BBC reports that the New Shepard spacecraft’s flight from the desert of Van Horn, Texas, was launched locally Two minutes later, the spacecraft was separated from the rocket and briefly flew into space, and then the rocket landed on the retractable legs, and shortly thereafter the New Shepard spacecraft pod returned to Earth.
I want to tell you that we have a very happy crew here,” Jeff Bezos said on landing.
His brother, Mark Bezos, also flew into space with Bezos, 18-year-old student Oliver Deman and 82-year-old Wally Fann, who initiated a social movement with female pilots in the 1960s demanding that women be sent into space as well.
The New Shepard spacecraft has built the Bezos-owned Blue Origin company, which aims to develop space tourism.
