The Armenian authorities are ready to cooperate with all the observation missions to hold elections, which will be in line with the international standards.
Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, said the aforementioned at the meeting with the head of the OSCE/ODIHR observation mission Jan Petersen on Wednesday.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the pre-election political situation and process for the preparation to elections, the press-service of the Armenian Government informed Armenian News – NEWS.am.
“We are determined and are ready to react to all the problems very harshly,” the PM said.
Jan Petersen, for his part, stressed that since his arrival in Armenian, close cooperation has been established with the country’s authorities, political parties and other partners. He also noted that the interim report of the OSCE/ODIHR mission on the work carried out by them will be ready in the near future. In Petersen’s words, the interest among the OSCE member-states to the elections in Armenia is quite high, a large delegation of observers having been sent to the republic. The Head of Mission expressed hope that the elections in Armenia will be held at a high level and in line with the international standards.
