Director of the State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia, Mikhail Piotrovsky, was in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, on Monday and Tuesday.
And on Tuesday, the Ministry of Culture of Armenia and the Hermitage Museum signed a strategic agreement on conducting studies at Karmir Blur (Red Hill) and its surroundings, the ministry informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The agreement was signed by Piotrovsky, and Minister of Culture, Armen Amiryan.
At the subsequent news conference, Amiryan stated that this memorandum will serve the popularization of Armenian culture.
Mikhail Piotrovsky, for his part, noted that this document contains serious content.
