On December 14, 2023, Alex Yazedjian broke the all time Quebec record for Under 17 in the 200 meters Individual Medley (IM) with a time of 2:02:19. In Canada, Alex is currently in first place for the 200 and the 400-meter IM for 18 and under. He has his sights set on representing Canada in the Summer 2024 World Aquatic Junior Championships to be hosted by Peru.
Alex has been swimming since he was of 6 years old. He trains approximately 25 hours a week, often starting at 6 am before school. He is a student of André Grasset CEGEP studying Business. He also represents the Québec provincial team in International competitions and manages all his commitments brilliantly.
In 2019, at the age of 13, Alex participated in the Pan Armenian games in Yerevan, Armenia, where he placed well.
Alex is the son of Stephan Yazedjian, a former AGBU Montreal Basketball athlete for many years.
