Yerevan hosts European Youth Parliament forum

Yerevan has hosted the official opening of a forum of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) NGO.
Two hundred young people representing 30 countries will raise problems arousing their concern and make proposals.
Major organizer of the event Arman Gasparyan told Tert.am that the committees are discussing various problems related to the European Union (EU), Armenia and the Eastern Partnership member-states.
Environmental problems are on the agenda as well.
“We are going to understand how we can reduce the amount of air pollutants and improve the situation,” he said.
Among the issues on the agenda is also settlement of conflicts in the post-Soviet area, prevention of corruption, EU-Turkey relations, migrants in Western Europe.
Turkey has not sent its delegates this year.
The forum program includes a Day of Armenia’s Culture.
