The Constitutional Court of Turkey has dismissed the case launched by the Armenian MP of the Turkish Parliament Garo Paylan in respect of depriving him of the right to participate in three sessions of the legislative body after using the word ”genocide.”
According to Istanbul-based Armenian newspaper Agos, the Constitutional Court of Turkey informed about its decision on Paylan’s case through the ”Official newspaper.” This decision was adopted by the majority of votes in the court.
During his speech in the Turkish parliament on January 13, Garo Paylan was interrupted because he used the word “genocide”. His speech was deleted from the parliamentary minutes and he was banned from the parliament for 3 sessions.
